Change
So with all this change happening in my life I have been thinking...when you are in the teaching profession you have to be able to accept constant change. The teaching profession I swear is always changing. I guess I should be grateful because my job is never boring! I made a wiki page tonight for my second graders to use. I hope they will be able to. I honestly have no idea what second graders can and cannot do. I guess it is going to be trial and error. I was asked to be the lead teacher in second grade today and I am very confused on how I am going to be able to do that. I know nothing about second so how can I lead it???? I found a quote from Corrie Ten Boom today that I feel is very appropriate at this time:
"Conditions are always changing; therefore, I must not be dependent upon conditions. What matters supremely is my soul and my relationship to God."

First Assignment is an exciting one!!!!
Ok so I already started printing everything for my first instructional technology class tonight and one of my first projects is so neat! I am going to have to pick someone to interview on technology in the educational system and I get to choose how I want to present it! I am thinking about doing it here on my blog???? or my class website????

Switching to plan B
So I have been quite busy within the last 24 hours trying to wrap my brain around switching AGAIN to another grade level. My plan was easy...I had mastered kindergarten finally after being mentored a full year by a wonderful teacher. I was going to go back to school and get my specialist while doing kindergarten just two more years. I would be where I finally wanted to be in just two years!
Man has that plan changed within a day! Now I do not know if I can take the amount of classes at a time that I wanted to because of the time it is going to take to learn and make things for a new grade level.
I am realizing that some of our journeys we think end in a dead end actually do not. I am seeing that with God there are no dead ends. He knows what He is doing. I need to consider every setback an opportunity to choose a different, more appropriate path. What looks like a dead end in our eyes may actually be the fast lane in God's plan.
